Marodyne LiV – Meg’s story

I discovered that I had osteoporosis when I was 47, even before I knew I was in menopause. I’ll admit, I was worried.

My mum had osteoporosis. She had a fractured and crumbling spine and died six years after her diagnosis. She spent the last two years of her life in a hospice as she couldn’t look after herself. She was bed-bound and frail.

I felt ashamed of my osteoporosis – I imagined I’d be all hunched up like a little old lady and be needing a hip replacement in a few years’ time. I hope I have another 30 or 40 years ahead of me, but all I could visualise when I thought of osteoporosis was my mum being bedridden by the disease.

My doctor offered medication to help treat me, but I really wanted to find a natural way to improve my bone health, with no side effects.

I began researching treatments for osteoporosis and was amazed to find that there are other options for people like me, that are proven to work.

One of the most exciting new developments I discovered is Marodyne LiV. It’s fully certified as a medical device and there’s a lot of clinical evidence that shows it works. I do my research and I was impressed to find that it’s recognised by the Royal Osteoporosis Society as effective at preventing osteoporosis and helping to combat it.

As soon as I tried it, I loved it.

It’s easy to use: you just plug it in and stand on it for 10 minutes while the low-intensity vibrations stimulate your bone-building cells into action. Unlike some drugs prescribed to treat osteoporosis, it has no side effects. It’s safe to use by anyone of any age, including people with health problems, including cancer.

In fact, it’s really pleasant. The gentle buzz is nice and you feel great afterwards as it boosts your circulation and warms your muscles. You can feel it going to work when you stand on it.

I firmly believe that osteoporosis is no longer something you have to live with or treat with drugs. As well as using Marodyne LiV every day, I eat a healthy diet, get plenty of sleep and still do regular weight-bearing exercise.

I really hope to reach the ‘healthy bone’ green band on my next Dexa scan and, by using Marodyne LiV as part of my daily routine, I believe it’s possible.
